COSARC Runners in First Cross Country Race of the Season

On a dry and sunny day CoSARC took part in the first cross country race of the season in Bournemouth in the Hampshire Cross Country League writes Vasen Moodley

Jenny Hartley raises £4,350 running the Druids 84 mile Challenge

There were sterling performances all round from runners in all the age categories. The Quad Kids performed very well and recorded the following times in their races : U11 Girls 2K Imogen Latter 10:21, Isabelle Grover 11:08, Indigo Badger 11:11. U11 Boys 2K George King 8:59. U13 Girls 3K Lilli Clements-Champion 14:25, Bethany Denbury 14:47. U13 Boys 3K Freddie Bosworth 12:33, Jasper Robinson 13:43, Charlie Sutton 16:50. U15 Girls 4K Imogen Gray 15:29, Harriet Boardman 21:01. U15 Boys 4K Charlie Coles 14:42, Thomas Holme 16:35, Joseph Holme 17:46. U17 Women 4K Lizzie Norton 15:06, Milly Rayner 17:13, Emily Warren 19:02.


In the Senior, Veteran and U20 Women 6K Anne Marie-Bayliss was the first CoSARC finisher in 22:54.


In the Senior, Veteran and U20 Men 10K Michael Beckett was the first CoSARC finisher in 33:27. A full list of finishers and times can be found HERE

Phil Perry takes on the Green Mile Marathon at Shepton Mallet Prison

Other notable performances from club members out at events came from club stalwart Mike White in the Testway 50 Mile Ultra. Mike finished in 15th place ducking under the 9 hour mark in 8:58:28. Phil Perry ran yet another Marathon, only this time with a significant twist. Phil took on the Green Mile Marathon at Shepton Mallet Prison clocking a time of 4:23:04. The course involved 78 laps around various wings, up and down 9,204 steps and the exercise yard.


Jenny Hartley took on the Druid’s 84 Mile Challenge along The Ridgeway 14:13:58. Jenny’s sterling efforts over three days of hills and muddy trails raised a staggering £4,350 for Bravo Medics.
