ESAA Track & Field Championships 2021

WILTSHIRE SCHOOLS’ ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION:

ESAA Track & Field Championships 2021

This year’s English Schools is a completely unique and different experience than what we are used to, with each county throughout England doing different things we felt that it was only right to communicate to Athletes as soon as we can on this year’s Wiltshire’s procedures.

This year there will be no Wiltshire or South West Schools Track & Field competition. To represent Wiltshire, you must compete at Covid safe events and Wiltshire AA Championships. Entry to the Wiltshire AA Championships via this link https://www.entrycentral.com/WiltsTF

If you are close to ESAA Entry Standard, achieve either Entry or National standard (this season) you MUST inform us, so you can be put forward to selection. Selection will be completed by English Schools, therefore it is REALLY important that you communicate via email using the provided form. No FORM via email, NO entry.

The top 16 athletes per event will be put forward to take part in the ESAA Track & Field Championships, this will be decided by English Schools and therefore we have no say on selection, this is to reduce numbers due to the current pandemic.

This year only, you can be put forward for two events, therefore if you have achieved the standard or are close in two events please put both down. Preferred event must be put first. You will only be selected for one event.

Athletes will be participating on one day (either Friday 9th July Seniors, Saturday 10th July Intermediate or Sunday 11th July Junior) per age group, again as a one-off athlete’s will have to travel with parents to the event in Manchester. There will be no transport from Wiltshire, team managers will be at the event to assist during the days.

Communication/ questions can be directed to Corinne Hunter at HunterC@lydiardparkacademy.org.uk
