Salisbury Plain 50 mile Ultra
On a hot and sunny day Mike White overcame 4000ft of elevation to come 2nd in 9:18:00 in the Salisbury Plain 50 mile Ultra.
Wiltshire County Schools Championships
In the Wiltshire Schools Championships in Swindon Emily Bryant ran incredibly well to win double Gold in the 100m and 150m events.
After their superb results in the Wiltshire County Schools Championships the following were selected for the Regional Championships in Exeter on 18 June : Sophie Wood 1500m 5:06 1st. Thomas Wood 1500m 4:17:20 1st. Lizzie Norton Senior Girls 3000m Gold medal. Thomas Dewey 1500m 4:31:10.
Olivia Barnett bagged herself 2nd place in the Yr 7 Girls 1200m.
Wiltshire Schools AA Championships
Freddie Bosworth cleared 1.35m in the Year 7 High Jump, to earn himself the Silver medal.
Gurkha Welfare Trust Doko Race
Heather Hitchens took part in the Gurkha Welfare Trust Doko Race to provide financial aid to Gurkha veterans in Nepal. The challenge is to complete a 5km cross-country run carrying a traditional Doko basket weighing up to 15kg in less than 46 minutes.
Dorney Lake Sprint Triathlon
This was Helen Carlton’s first triathlon, and she excelled herself to finish the arduous triple event in 2:00:33.
Copythorne Carnival 5km
Esme White was 1st in her age category, (U20 F) and 3rd female overall in her first 5k race on a lovely but hot evening.
WESTBURY 5K
Two of CoSARC’s leading runners ran brilliantly well in a stifling temperature of 22 degrees. Anton Weatherhead earned himself a 20 second PB in a time of 15:30. James Mills ran an 8 second PB, and finished in 17:36.
Race For Life Bournemouth
On a very hot day Charlotte Ingram ran a fabulous time of 42:50 to finish as 1st Lady.
Parkrun PBs
A trio of CoSARC’s finest bagged themselves PBs at Salisbury parkrun. They were Matt Bosworth 17:55, Dave Gervais 19:12 and Claire Clarke 27:25.
On a hot summer morning at Churchill Gardens Junior parkrun George Sutton flew round to secure 1st place in a time of 7:17.
