Terms and conditions

Within the following T&Cs the definition of "I" or "me" includes the entrant and any member of the entrant's group entered.

By submitting my entry I declare that:

I participate at my own risk. Furthermore, I agree that the organisers will in no way be held responsible for any injury, loss or illness incurred during, or as a result of, this event.

I agree that any photographs/media footage of me at this event can be shared in the press for publicity purposes and on social networking sites.

Event rules & guidelines

The following event rules and guidelines are intended to help ensure the safety of all participants.

All entry fees are non-refundable and The Stonehenge Stomp retains the right to refuse entry to anyone declaring false information on their entry form, not making the required payment, or otherwise failing to meet the stated entry requirements.

Participation

An email address is required for all entries. All correspondence will be via email.

All participants must agree to the disclaimer and terms & conditions.

All participants must provide their full name and details of any health problems or medication upon entry.

Entrants under 18 years of age must have parental consent and be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Online registration closure is determined and announced when event participation reaches capacity.

There will be no 'on the day' entries - only entries via the online entry system are valid.

The event does not fall within the scope of the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations.

Event Day

Participants must follow instructions as given from all event officials including event staff, volunteers, medical personnel and officials throughout the duration of the event.

Course Monitoring

Please note that this event is on public rights of way and open to other members of the public. Common courtesy must be paid to other members of the public using the trails at all times.

Route navigation

The event is self navigated using coloured flags and markers. Written route notes are available

Participant Safety

With the exception of the 5km route, the courses are mainly off-road.

Please note that this event covers open countryside containing mud (a lot of it if it’s been raining), exposed roots, low hanging branches, fallen trees, and the odd hill. Parts of the route are very exposed to inclement weather. Please dress accordingly.

Recommended equipment; warm clothing/foil blanket, food sufficient for the event (water will be available at checkpoints, refreshments subject to Covid restrictions), fully charged mobile phone, basic first aid kit. All participants to have Event Director's contact number which will be issued prior to the even and on display in the registration hall.

Participants are responsible for their recognition and understanding of event signage, symbols and colour relating to participant maps, facilities and direction.

By participating on the event day, participants self declare that they are fit enough to attend and are able to complete their entered route.

Medical personnel authorised by the event may examine any participant who appears in distress. If in the sole opinion of authorised medical personnel it is in the best interest of the participant’s health and welfare, medical personnel may remove the participant from the event.

Participants must retire at once from the event if ordered to do so by a member of the event’s official staff, official medical staff, or any governmental authority, including fire and police officers.

Participants are responsible and assume liability for any and all medical expenses incurred as a result of training for and/or participation in the event, including but not limited to ambulance transport, hospital stays, physician and pharmaceutical goods and services.

Event officials reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the event due to inclement weather in accordance with emergency protocol on severe emergencies and/or inclement weather. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.

Covid-19

All participants to follow current government guidelines and those put in place specifically by the event.

Amendments / Reservations / Acknowledgements

Event officials reserve the right, to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules.

Participants shall be bound by any modification or supplement of the event rules published prior to the event.

Disclaimer

In order to participate in The Stonehenge Stomp, participants agree the following disclaimer and to the terms & conditions:

“I declare that I will not compete in the event unless I am medically fit on the day of the race and that, in any event, I will compete at my own risk. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE EVENT INVOLVES CROSSING A BUSY MAIN ROAD AND THAT IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO DO SO SAFELY.

I accept that the organisers, sponsors, partners, marshals will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses, which may arise in consequence of my participation of the event.

I also hereby give my permission to The Stonehenge Stomp to use my name, quotes, video and photographic likeness for marketing and promotional purposes.

I also understand that entry fees are non-refundable.

Event Entry

There will be NO 'on the day' entries. All entries MUST and can only be made by the event's online system.

Entrants will be asked to confirm their choice of route/distance upon registration and may change to another route/distance at this time. There is no need to contact the organiser to so before the event.

Entries are non-transferable.

Should the event be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions, entries will roll over to 2025 event. No refunds will be issued.
